Using my skills in Engineering and management I recently accepted a position with QFLP to assist in refining policies and procedures, managing the office and recruiting new staff.I am now tasked with the job of creating a client experience which is caring, honest and surpasses the level of service provided elsewhere. This task has put me at the forefront of developing marketing strategies and launching our new advertising and social media campaign.

The majority of my time was spent planning and managing fieldwork operations, liaising with clients and subcontractors, the set up of large scale geotechnical investigations and submitting tender documentation.My career highlights included the design and implementation of Coffey's Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) invoicing system for the largest ground investigation project on Australia’s east coast. This proved a useful tool for monitoring and tracking progress and budget, whilst increasing invoice transparency and reinforcing the ‘value for money’ sentiment for our client.

During my studies in Engineering, I was given the opportunity to work in a construction and logistic company on the cusp of growing from small to medium sized business. Operating on a project to project contract, I supervised many projects from concept to completion. The majority of my time was spent interpreting engineering plans for roads and proposed developments, providing construction and logistic advice and supervising work teams.

This firm was my first entrepreneurial venture, brokering low cost DNA tests to the public. With a decade of hospitality experience behind me, I was fortunate to be offered a partnership during the conception of this business. It provided massive insight to business lifecycles, development, networking and marketing.
