The mission of "Families of Character" is to equip families with the tools to help them grow in character. We offer a discussion-based course that assists in developing virtues in families. We are committed to providing parents with the tools to develop and live virtues, educate on what makes up character, reverse the breakdown of the family, and create happier, more unified families.

• Provide vision and direction to the fundraising development of The Salvation Army in the four mountain states. • Planned Giving: Coached a team of 3 professionals which raised an average of $4.5 million annually utilizing a 12 month marketing plan for leads generation• Major Gifts: Lead a team of 5 professional major gifts officer which raised an average of $5.2 million annually.• Direct Marketing: Managed an expense budget of $1.8 million for direct marketing which resulted in revenue of $6.7 million. (inclusive of online digital strategies and telemarketing)• Grants: Coordinated the process of grant writing across four states resulting in an average of $2.0 million per year• PR, Special Events: Lead a staff of 2 individuals in managing public relations, special events, web presence and marketing design. Resulting white mail and event revenue averaged $6.0 million per year.• Volunteers: Supervised a key exempt employee in the development of a comprehensive volunteer services department, leading to a revised database of over 2000 past and present individuals.• Provided/developed key metrics for performance evaluation along with custom reporting functions.• Also responsible for guiding and directing local Salvation Army units in the organization and implementation of capital campaigns and new program development.

Provide direct oversight of business operations for all Salvation Army expressions throughout Alameda County CA. (E.g. Community relations, financial development, finance and accounting, personnel, property, insurance, contracts, and legal services.) Responsible for the overall vision and planning of service expressions throughout the county in conjunction with the County Coordinator, Corp Officers, and program staff. Oversee the compliance of all Salvation Army social service expressions in Alameda County ensuring contract compliance and adherence to Salvation Army Policy and Procedures.

First hired to provide direction and leadership for the annual fund development and fundraising efforts of a private medical foundation dedicated to creating healthy communities. Optimize success of four development officers with weekly communications and development of individual tools designed for their unique leadership styles and abilities. Manage portfolio of 250 individual and corporate donor accounts. Served as interim Foundation President for 9 months. Promoted to the position of Campaign Director with direct responsibility for conducting and coordinating a comprehensive campaign for the St. Anthony Health Foundation.• Created a strategic 3-year plan with a comprehensive implementation schedule• Identified and assigned lead & major gift prospects to Development staff• Personally raised $2.5 million per year from individuals and foundations• Orchestrated a campaign feasibility study utilizing external consulting services• Developed Board training workshop.
