Oversee the operation functions of the various areas within the store environment. Manage a retail pet store with full service grooming department and on site adoption service. Ensure top level customer service to our pet parents through customer engagement. Direct approximately 25-30 full time and part time associates, 3 department managers and 1 assistant manager. See to it all associates are fully cross- trained in pet nutrition, aquatics, avian, exotics, and other areas of the business where customers seek expert advice. I challenge my managers and associates to be business ready at all times through managing perpetual inventory, replenishing the sales floor and proper cash management. Store huddles are held 2 times a day with all staff to brief them on the current corporate expectations of metrics and sales goals. Customer role playing is performed daily in addition to the huddles to guarantee our customers the finest shopping experience possible.
