John Akers has more than 18 years of healthcare experience including the delivery of physical therapy services and management of corporate health centers. John has a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of North Georgia and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Alabama State University. After completing his initial Physical Therapy degree, he continued training and acquired Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine. After joining the company, he completed additional course work to become a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist.John manages multi-site operations that deliver complex lines of service including: primary and preventive care, physical therapy, health coaching, and wellness programs. John has demonstrated strong knowledge of staffing, capacity, return on investment, budget, margins, and product offerings to drive strategic operational outcomes. He has experience with regulatory compliance, billing and collections, sales and marketing, facility maintenance, and project implementation. John works directly with the Vice President of Operations to execute strategic plans. In his role, he is the primary contact for high profile, complex contracts. John provides partnership and management of Director and Manager roles to achieve performance metrics, performance guarantees, and customer satisfaction goals.
