As a consultant at TSG I use an array of technical and computing skills to provide insight into complex business problems.I have worked on a number of diverse projects ranging from iron ore supply chain analysis to commodity price modelling. I have been involved working with clients to scope their requirement, assessing the level of technical detail required to reach project targets, implementation of solutions, reporting and presenting to clients, and maintaining client relationships throughout. I have been involved in several large projects for iron ore majors, including being seconded into their offices for a six month period. All of these projects required working within large teams and interfacing with a number of stakeholders who often had conflicting aims.I have also been involved in a number of smaller projects where I was the primary client contact, and responsible for all aspects of project delivery. I found the variety and increased level of responsibility of these project very rewarding.

I developed models for the analysis of bridges, underwater viewing tunnels, and other structures.I developed a program for the automated analysis of earthquake spectra, the results of which are in the process of being published.I developed a new methodology for modelling the material properties of tension membrane structures in SAP2000. This led to increased accuracy in the design and analysis of structures

I published papers in international peer reviewed journal.I developed ties with international researchers which lead to a novel techniques for visualising manometry data.I presented research results at international conferences.

I worked in, and managed, the team in charge of installing high tension curtains in shipping containers for use by TranzRail (now TollNZ)

While working at Hynds Pipes I was involved in the organization of the opening of the new store in Ormiston Rd. I also performed some distribution tasks and helped the engineers with product calculations and also helped with upgrading their product specifications to a newer version of AutoCAD. This work was credited as part of the General Work Experience hours required for the Batchelor of Engineering at Auckland University.
