In the summer before my Freshman year of college, I took a class called Intro to Business, where we had a Business Simulation Team Competition against more than 40 teams. The teams are required to handle things such as the finances and marketing of the company against all the other teams. On the team, I was the Vice President of Marketing.• Developing an extremely effective Marketing strategy for each individual vehicle• Successfully carrying out a business plan that includes the Finances, vehicle development, marketing, expenses, and prices of our vehicles• Researching trends of potential customers to implement the best marketing strategies to make the most profit• Receiving a first place out of more than 40 teams made up of all Kelley School of Business Students

Leading a team of four team members in an online Business Simulation competition against students at Portage Central, and then later against teams from schools all across Southwest Michigan. Teams have to work together to set the best prices, and develop the best product over the course of several simulated years under various different economic scenarios. Every team starts with the same product, but have to allocate money to develop new technologies to implement.• Developing a business plan strategy to best use our limited resources to put out the best product in order for our team to make the most revenue• Orchestrating my team to two consecutive first places at Portage Central High School, which let us compete at Western Michigan University against teams from across Southwest Michigan• Adapting to several different economic scenarios for our company to respond to, such as an economic crisis, or battling against an increase in market technology.
