For the past few years, I've had the privilege of leading my marketing and communications firm, Creekside Creative. With a proven track record of delivering transformational growth for B2B and B2C clients, Creekside Creative partners with globally recognized corporations, locally-owned small businesses, mission-driven nonprofits, and key advocacy organizations.My path to my role today was shaped by a wealth of diverse experiences. After graduating from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in mass communication and political science, I honed my skills as a contributing writer for The Times-Picayune and The Advocate and served as an editor for the award-winning student newspaper, The Maroon. My early career also included roles at the CNN Southeast News Bureau, where I gained valuable mixed media experience.My career in communications extended into the political arena, where I worked as a senior staffer on numerous campaigns across the Southeast. I later transitioned into a consultancy role, advising political and advocacy campaigns on marketing and communication strategies.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw an opportunity to make an impact by pivoting into healthcare, joining Grady Health System as the communications lead for the Grady Health Foundation. In this role, I spearheaded marketing and fundraising campaigns that supported one of the nation’s largest safety net hospitals.Through Creekside Creative, I've had the opportunity to partner with a diverse array of clients, including a national leading builder of attainable housing, innovative nonprofit leaders in metro Atlanta focused on affordable housing and pro bono legal services, and a champion of sustainable forestry and rural economic growth in Georgia, among dozens of others. I'm deeply passionate about mentoring emerging professionals, providing opportunities for learning and connection. I am a member of the Rome Floyd Chamber and Rotary Club of Rome, and represent northwest Georgia as a member of the National Small Business Association Leadership Council. I also sit on the Boards of two local nonprofits, Fairview-Brown Heritage Corporation and Alton Holman Heritage Arts Inc.When not working, I can most likely be found spending time with loved ones, supporting local small businesses, and exploring the outdoors – all with my dog Floyd, named for my favorite place in the world, by my side.
