•Administer the Host-Based Security System (HBSS), which is based on McAfee’s ePolicy Orchestrator tool•Implement antivirus configuration and administration activities and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator host intrusion prevention configuration, system hardening and lockdown procedures for over 2500 servers, desktop and laptop PCs•Configure the HBSS product as per government-mandated guidelines and prepare and draft documents as needed for government-mandated inspections•Perform upgrades to the HBSS product as needed•Evaluate and test various commercial off-the-shelf programs and server build processes and procedures and create documentation for those processes•Test Microsoft security patches and hot fixes in a laboratory environment and produce reports on the results for distribution to system administrators•Distribute Microsoft patch and hotfix updates through WSUS in a laboratory environment•Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008, make recommendations for server build process and configuration and perform system hardening procedures and vulnerability scans for newly-deployed workstations and servers•Assist with NetApp administration tasks: create LUNs and shares, configure and administer snapshot backups, monitor daily tasks and conduct periodic full deduplication procedures on volumes and test new product functionality and product releases

•Installed, configured and troubleshot TSM Client versions 5.5, 6.1 and 6.2, including client backup issues, enhanced features testing, Windows Server 2008 testing activities and file inclusion/exclusion exercises•Installed, configured and troubleshot Evault InfoStage tapeless backup system, configured backups and new sites, assisted with storage and network issues and coordinated file inclusion/exclusion exercises•Installed, configured and troubleshot Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 and assisted with recommendations for server build process and configuration•Installed, configured and troubleshot Compaq/HP Proliant Server hardware and peripherals: resolved any hardware or software-related issues with HP Proliant ML and DL servers and tape drives and distributed driver and firmware upgrades via HP Systems Insight Manager•Participated in root cause analysis activities with regards to troubleshooting Tier 3 issues on Wintel-based servers, assisted with root cause analysis projects and documented server-based troubleshooting techniques and methods•Assisted with VMware-related activities: built and configured ESX Server guest servers, assisted with other tasks such as P2V migrations and troubleshot resource issues on ESX Server guest servers•Administered printers, print queues and print servers, NTFS security permissions and user and group administrationTechnical Environment: Supported over 700 Hewlett-Packard Proliant model Windows servers and associated peripheral devices.
