CurrentJohn is a hard-charging, enthusiastic and dynamic veteran of the commercial real estate industry specializing in asset management services. Since 1989, John has proven experience in asset management, property management, leasing, marketing, operations and technology. Throughout his career, John has improved asset value while enhancing both client and customer experience. Work History BackgroundAfter a successful and rewarding career of 30+ years my wife and I decided to relocate from Carlsbad, CA to the Austin area to be near our son and grandchildren. Additionally, our youngest son was completing his junior college and set his sights on attending Mays Business School at Texas A&M. At that time, I formed an LLC and began consulting in commercial real estate asset management upon leaving The Price Group in August of 2016. At Price, I repositioned a 500,000-sf lifestyle center and concluded my assignment when the property was sold in 2016. Beginning in August of 2016 and until the advent of Covid in 2020, I consulted with various clients on a single asset (Outlets at the Border) and a portfolio of four (4) regional malls for Brixton Capital. Outlets at the Border was a distressed asset that operated under various ownership/agents including The Shamrock Group, Coast Commercial Ventures and Kidder Matthews. Due to negative cash flow, Outlets at the Border went into bankruptcy and is now owned and operated by Simon Properties. During the period between Covid and our move to Texas, I chose not to reengage my consulting activities, with the exception of consulting with a technology group known as Smart City Labs.. I chose to focus on our move to Texas, helping our son get into Mays Business School and taking care of family health issues. I am now living in the greater Houston area, and I am excited about leveraging my expertise to add value in the commercial real estate industry.
