Served as primary consultant to several utility contractors and a telecommunications company with over 400 employees in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Conducted safety-training courses in English and Spanish in topics such as Scaffold Safety, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Trench Excavation safety. Performed hazard assessments and inspections of jobsites and attended pre-construction meetings at specific job locations as requested. Investigated non-injury, injury, and general liability incidents to determine root causes and identify areas of improvement for clients. Developed comprehensive corporate and site-specific safety programs. Represented clients during OSHA inspections and informal conferences. Promoted safety and education to workers through volunteer opportunities and affiliations with contractor associations.

Represented a national insurance carrier providing workers compensation and general liability coverage for the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) 2002 Bond Program. The $1.37 Billion ROCIP/OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) project scope included 20 new schools, and over 170 additions or renovations. Conducted risk control surveys and project observations to identify existing and potential loss control issues relating to the students, staff, and general public as well as employee safety. Acted as a liaison between the insurance carrier, DISD, and Contractor personnel. Tracked workers compensation and general liability claims to determine injury and accident cause, trends, areas for additional safety training, and corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence. Reviewed accident or incident investigations to determine root cause and provide recommendations for precautionary measures. Communicated daily with District personnel, School representatives, and all levels of construction personnel concerning construction progress and the associated hazards to school staff or child safety. Participated in contractor safety evaluations for new construction projects. Presented claims and loss information to safety and management personnel during individual and group meetings in both formal and informal settings.

Communicated directly with all personnel ranging from Company Owners to General Labor. Conducted safety-training courses in English and Spanish. Performed hazard assessments or inspections of jobsites with project scopes such as road construction, multi-family and single-family residential, industrial, retail, educational facilities, and warehouse/distribution facilities. Conducted Pre-Construction (pre-lift, pre-dig, etc.) meetings for General Contractor clients at specific job locations as requested.
