Compass Resolution offers expert family mediation, separated family support and conflict management coaching services.We focus exclusively on the most effective ways of helping and supporting people in conflict, to work together to solve a wide range of disputes arising from family separation and divorce. The “Compass Resolution journey” began with my first job as a British Army captain in the 80’s where I experienced first-hand the negative impact of conflict on people’s lives, the importance of supporting people to manage and cope with the effects of conflict and the positive power of effective team working and support.When I left the army in 1989, having studied law at University, I was drawn to court work which fed my natural instincts to compete, support and protect my clients' interests.However, the catalyst for my professional transformation came in 1997 when I trained as a family mediator and discovered that this resonated with my facilitative problem solving nature. I was then able to focus on working with and helping people to avoid court, make their own decisions and reach their own solutions, in difficult situations, when they were often at their most vulnerable. This was further reinforced by my practice as a collaborative lawyer, civil and workplace mediator, Neurolinguistic Practitioner, coach and trainer.At Compass Resolution we are committed to; •providing the most effective mediation and facilitative support to our clients enabling and empowering them to work together to reach joint decisions by providing access to a full range of professional support and information, when they need it most, at a price they can afford.•supporting individuals to work within conflictual environments.•supporting our mediators to develop their mediation businesses and thrive as mediation practitioners•training others in mediation and faciltative skills helping many towards full mediation accreditation.This is a life-long project and passion.Most recently, in 2022 I created and launched the online Divorce Manual providing a comprehensive library of resources to help separating couples work through their separation using the mediation and coaching process.I am currently working on my latest book aimed at providing the skills to help people in conflict to resolve and solve issues for themselves.
