CS&A is an educational recruitment/search firm that places teachers and administrators in independent and like-kind schools across the nation and worldwide. Our client base is typically a K-12, college preparatory school, but the schools can be day or boarding, religiously affiliated or non-sectarian, etc.CS&A has two different groups which help schools with their recruitment efforts (as well as a consulting practice which helps schools in other ways).1. The Placement Group at CS&A is broken down by subject and administrative area with an experienced, professional team assigned to each teaching and administrative area. All fees are paid by the client school; personal and professional placement services are free to the job-seeking candidate. Teaching certification not required, although candidates will need at least a Bachelor’s degree pertaining to their desired subject area.Within that group, I handle senior leadership positions for schools -- Division Head, Dean, Assistant Head, and the like -- so the candidates with whom I work are typically mid- to late career, and the positions I work on typically report to the Head of School or another senior administrator, such as an Assistant Head or Division Head.2. CS&A's Search Group focuses its efforts on retained searches for head of school and top administration positions. That group is comprised of former heads of school, top administrators, and trustees and lists its open positions on our web site (http://www.carneysandoe.com/Schools/Leadership-Search-Services/Current-Searches.aspx).When a school chooses to retain CS&A for a Division Head or Assistant Head position, they would work with CS&A's Search Group. When the school does not choose to retain a firm for such a position, but does seek outside help from CS&A, I would be the person who'd help the school with that search. Candidates need to register on-line to work with CS&A's Placement Group.
