He always made time to help his teams understand the complex work we were doing and was highly effective at communicating the goals and priorities for the coming quarter. John was also highly effective at promoting his teams’ various work, ensuring the work was visible and ensuring his teams got the best opportunities for future work. When he left Apple, he left us in a very good position to continue to have a big impact, and for that I am very grateful.
