Its jazz-based repertoire includes a variety of their arrangements, along with those of New York Voices and other close harmony groups, and is augmented by songs of popular artists like James Taylor and The Beatles.Musically diverse, but with common backgrounds in piano and vocals, John Wilson (founder and tenor) is joined by Valérie Bouillant (soprano), Deanna Rozon (alto) and Peter Feldman (baritone). • Primary responsibility was leading the Government of Canada (GC) transition to IPv6 (next version of the Internet Protocol)• More recently, developed the plans and collateral to launch a GC-wide EA Community of Practice, also participating in the development of EA policy instruments and a two-layered GC-wide set of Architecture Review Boards• Other responsibilities included initiatives affecting GC-wide networks, as well as related policy instruments such as the Telecom Cabling Systems Standard• Also contributed to the "Profile of IT Services" expenditure model used in the creation of Shared Services Canada

• Performed Technical Evaluations of supplier offers of equipment, such as routers, firewalls, proxy servers and intrusion prevention devices, to be qualified for listing in the National Master Standing Offer• Led Working Group assessing outsourcing the PKI Internal Credential Management infrastructure

• Established an Enterprise Architecture Practice for a newly-created CIO organization serving the internal needs of TBS and three client departments: . ==> Developed and Issued the Framework and the first year's Program plan . ==> Established the Director-level Architecture Review Board• Created a Continuous Improvement Program based on a CMM-style Assessment• Contributed to the creation of Strategic Planning and Client Portfolio Management functions

• Assessed business needs and platform capabilities, and recommended a Knowledge Management (KM) solution that was introduced, to address process, data and Document Management problems (business transformation) of a key market-serving organization.• Developed KM Conceptual Solutions (business-oriented system architectures and high-level business process designs) to guide the Development Team’s efforts; for example, integrating data from multiple platforms and implementing workflow• Produced a Knowledge Management Roadmap, identifying and aligning future needs with capabilities, to guide platform evolution; praised by key stakeholder as a communication tool and as a model for other platforms.• Researched and assessed Master Data Management technology, business opportunities and vendor platforms with IM/IT Planning; an opportunity to integrate, simplify, store and use Customer Data, especially in supporting the needs of customer-facing groups. Developed customer data and licensing cost models as critical inputs to the selection of the best vendor platform

• Using tools such as the Zachman Framework, IBM’s System Architect and value chains (or strategic results chains), developed the business architecture for Bell’s Business Transformation from eight networks to one, and consulted the various disciplines (e.g., technology development, operations, network planning and provisioning, marketing) to validate coverage and gain consensus. Produced a champion to chart the way forward and implement the solution• Selected a Network Design tool for Customer Systems Engineers, piloting tool alternatives amongst the user community. Solution leveraged an existing platform, resulting in low-cost, centralized sharing of Network Design Documents, reduced workload and removed the risk of loss from storage on PCs• Managed and participated in program to develop Conceptual Solutions (business-oriented system architectures) spanning multiple business software systems (watching for systems rationalization or decommissioning opportunities) to address the needs of Enterprise customers (e.g., banks, government departments) usually identified through RFPs. Established the Customer BSA (Business Solutions Advisor) function and led a team of 3 Customer BSAs, organizing work assignments for more than 15 projects, bringing structure, visibility and accountability to the team

• Organized a single interface for managing Requirements and the content of software releases from the two vendors providing the technologies for Bell’s VDSL (Very high-speed Digital Subscriber Line) service, simplifying and establishing accountability• Managed the software design function for a team implementing server-based capabilities, including a speech recognition-driven directory assistance application; resolved major gaps between marketing and the software development teams regarding the priority of Requirements and the delivery of software releases

• Assessed the software process capabilities of new potential vendors, as a critical input to vendor selection, specifying contractual needs for doing business; stakeholder congratulated the accuracy of my assessment predictions, contracting a re-assessment 2 years later to gain a new view after the product’s evolution• Directed the implementation of software process improvement programs (business transformation/business process re-engineering programs) within the product lines of key custom software vendors exhibiting problems and delivery delays, resulting in faster product development cycles and fewer bugs• Conducted risk assessments of key internal software development projects, determining which should proceed and where risk mitigation was needed• Co-authored the Trillium Software Process Assessment Model as a means for bench-marking the relative capabilities of Bell’s custom software vendors

• Directed Bell-funded Nortel research program that successfully trialed X.400 peer-to-peer protocol extensions with PC-resident user applications by partnering with a key customer• Provided expertise to computer platform supplier (Tandem Computers) in porting successful Bell-developed X.400 solution sold back as a standard platform offering

Led the requirements gathering for a major revision of the Envoy 100 e-mail system, and the second major implementation of OSI (X.400):• Participated in an international CCITT X.400 Implementors' Group, representing Bell Canada, and led the effort from a global telecommunications providers' perspective• Contributed telco needs and specified product requirements for the Bell Canada telco interconnect solution

Team lead for one of the earliest product implementations of the ISO (International Standards Organization's) OSI (Open Systems Interconnect) 7-layer telecommunications protocol stack (Teletex):• Participated in team development of the functional requirements and conceptual solution for the product• As team lead, developed requirements for, participated in the design of, and led team of 12 designing and implementing the software solution.

Developed database software for a series of high-speed digital data switches contracted to British Telecom by Canadian Marconi.

Developed database software for the DMS-100 series of central office telecommunications switches.
