I'm retired from a career as a professional mechanical engineer, an occupation that I greatly enjoyed, but my life-long first love has always been music. I am fascinated with the psychological underpinnings of music composition and the emotional responses that musical elements can evoke. Over the years I've become aware of the deficiencies in pieces by many famous composers and even more amazed at the genius and ingenuity that is the hallmark of the greatest music.I've composed some choral pieces of my own, a genre that is most familiar. I have endeavored to avoid following the paths of other choral composers but rather to enrich the spectrum of choral compositional styles. For example, several of my pieces combine North Indian classical ragas with western polyphony. I believe the results are interesting and very satisfying.I would particularly like to locate choral groups that would perform my music, so that it can be shared with other people.
