Providing Narration for Science Based Education

I have spent the majority of my career reading instructional copy for computer and web based training modules. My voice for those ranges from authoritative, instructional and knowledgeable to funny, warm and compassionate. I have recorded Public Service announcements that ranged from concerned to informative and I have also recorded commercials that were upbeat, seasonal, and frantic! I find I am more comfortable with a conversational copy and I am a very good cold reader. I have voiced videos for corporate environments as well as commercials, news and weather reports for radio. I am always working on an audiobook project and I am always ready to record for radio and TV, eLearning, video and corporate projects.

Overseeing operations for Roadhouse Rock digital radio. Creating Play Blocks, scheduling, music direction, Station Management. Working with On-air staff to improve host skills, audio mixing and Voice tracking skills and writing content for their on -air slots. Regularly work with other GM's and The Audilous C-Suite Team on the direction and special offerings for Audilous. Host.

Provided logistical and technical support to Anesthesiologists. Set-up anesthetizing locations and operate, monitor, and collect data from anesthesia related equipment. Also provided equipment preventive maintenance/repair to include FDA checkout of anesthesia equipment, and specialized cardiac procedures such as cardiac output measurement, intra-aortic balloon pumps, vessel cannulation, and auto transfusion services as well as airway management. Worked with ultrasound equipment, Datex-Ohmeda AS5 anesthesia equipment, Cell Saver Equipment and the Pyxis Anesthesia system. Transported patients from the OR to the SICU,ICU and PACU after surgery ensuring all monitoring equipment remains operational during transport as well as providing O2 and at times using an AMBU bag while the patient is still intubated.

I coordinated with our clients meeting planners all aspects of audio and video capture for conferences and seminars for a wide variety of associations and life science partners. Edited all media captured and contribute to QC of the media assets to ensure a quality product is delivered to our clients

Managed the production of multimedia deliverables from kickoff meeting through customer satisfaction surveys. Maintained customer and vendor relationships around the country to support live capture and and delivery of conferences, seminars and training sessions delivered via webcast, vodcast, podcast, CD and DVD. Oversee a production staff of 14 multimedia editors, designers, video and audio editors. Create and enforce SOP's associated with the company's day to day operations as well as working with all of the management team to continue to expand the company's capabilities in the multimedia industry

I managed a small staff of 4 who were responsible for the design and development of multimedia products that promote and educate for the Life Sciences Community in the Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences industries. I was responsible for the project management of each project from inception through closeout, as well as continued support in the design and development phase of the deliverables i.e web, CD, DVD, video or print. Other responsibilities include managing relationships with outside vendors for print and electronic media needs, insure quality control over the deliverables, oversee development and implementation of all style guide requirements, manage all projects using MS Project, manage and maintain all technical requirements associated with each project.

I worked with a team of great professionals who were responsible for the development and delivery of multimedia projects. Not only was I responsible for production; I assumed the role of Project Manager for a wide variety of projects surrounding Sales, Marketing and Training. These include Flash animations/presentations i.e Product demos software demos etc. Video and Audio production including narration, SFX, music creation and editing, 3D modeling and animation, non-linear video editing, directing, producing video testimonials, HTML e-mail campaigns and a variety of graphics support for other web and non web related projectsI was also part of a corporate team of designers who created and maintained our brand strategy for all of our electronic media at Cardinal Health. As a member of this Brand Task Force we enforced the usage of not only the Cardinal Brand, but the use of primary and secondary color schemes as well as look and feel for all of our video and multimedia projects.

I was employed as a Multimedia/Internet Developer for the Marketing Department. My responsibilities ranged from Project Management, for both print and electronic media for new company interests, to developing comprehensive multimedia marketing materials. These include electronic business cards, specialized multimedia presentations for new product launches, as well as designing and developing a variety of websites for both promotional and customer support purposes. I also provided support to our Training Department, helping develop computer based in-house training materials for new hires as well as software training for our customers.

As a Media Specialist III, I provided support designing graphics for Animations, Overlays, 3D graphics, and a variety of picture formats, for Educational Computer Based Training. I also designed and maintained the site on our Intranet server, provided all audio support for our project to include narration, mixing and editing all audio files, creating sound effects and music for all courseware and presentations

Morning - Drive announcer and board-op for 7 years, 3 of which KSDS was nominated for a Marconi award for Jazz station of the year and received in 1993. Responsible for in house production of 30 and 60 second PSA’s and promotional spots utilizing DAT machines, audio boards, Reel to Reel, and Digital Workstations. Also responsible for writing and reporting news and regular weather updates. I worked in the field collecting sound bites for newscasts using portable recording equipment. My responsibilities included employment as a part-time operations assistant responsible for the day to day operations of the station, to include programming logs, transmitter readings, recording business news updates, maintaining the music library, and making promotional appearances for the station.

Duties included Announcer / Board-op for various shifts throughout the week. Responsible for recording and playing back a variety of programming from NPR and NPR affiliates. Produced Entertainment reviews aired on “These Days in San Diego”, as well as a variety of the music beds heard during breaks. I provided news and weather updates when necessary, as well as voicing promotional spots for station events.
