Within Network Management Engineering Professional Services in the IP/Optical Networks division, I lead an OSS applications development and delivery team with presence in Ottawa, Istanbul and Bangalore. At the center of the portfolio is the Service Portal, a custom web application that simplifies provisioning, monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting of customer IP/MPLS, Optical, and Cloud-Based SDN (Nokia's Nuage portfolio) networks, with over 75 customers worldwide. My team is responsible for client-focused projects end-to-end: pre-sales support, requirements analysis, statement-of-work preparation, workflow design, Agile software development, functional and system verification, acceptance testing & staging, customer training and documentation, and installation, maintenance and support services for customer and in-house trial and production deployments.

Through the Professional Engineers Act, PEO governs certified license holders and regulates professional engineering in Ontario to serve and protect the public. Ottawa is the largest chapter in Ontario with over 8,500 members; it is managed by an Executive Committee who, along with dedicated volunteers, conceive, develop and deliver programs, activities and events (e.g. education outreach, technical tours & seminars, professional development, government liaison, social and sports events, mentorship) for the interest and benefit of our members.As a board member and officer for the Ottawa Chapter, I am accountable to members for governance, fiduciary duties and the conception of strategies and execution of programs to fulfill the chapter mandate and serve the membership.I served as Vice Chair of the PEO Education Committee (EDU) , one of 27 committees and task forces with province-wide reach mandated by PEO council to help develop specific policies that guide the association. EDU is involved in pre-university student and educator outreach and curriculum issues involving math, science and technology; it also administered the Engineer-in-Residence program until it was taken over by Engineers of Tomorrow.
