I founded MicroVision Labs, Inc. in 2003 and have grown it to an 8 person, 6000sq/ft microscopy lab. We are basically CSI for business without the crime, usually. We look at little things and identify unknown materials for other companies. Our focus is working one on one with our clients to create custom analytical solutions to solve various industrial, environmental and R&D problems. My SEM images have appeared in a number of technical journals, newspapers and magazines as well as Television (Arrow and Discover Health). I have done work helping authenticate Jackson Pollock paintings and developed a non-destructive method to identify moon rocks. In the environmental testing world I am best know for writing the testing method for Coal Ash/Wood Ash in Soil. At present my lab is equipped with two scanning electron microscopes with EDS, two Lumos FTIR microscopes, a Phoenix Industrial X-Ray imaging system, a Bruker M4 Tornado Micro-XRF and nine light microscopes (PLM, DF, BF, DIC, PCM, and Stereo Fluorescence). I have worked in the analytical microscopy field since 1990. The laboratories that I have work for in the past include Eastern Analytical Labs, Industrial and Environmental Analysts, American Environmental Network and Severn Trent Labs.
