Upon graduating from Mercyhurst University in 1995, I joined H. Jack Langer Inc., a family-owned and operated plumbing and HVAC company located in Erie, Pennsylvania. From 1995 to present, I along with a very capable management team, have spearheaded company expansion efforts further into Ohio, along with Pennsylvania and New York. Through these expansion efforts we have attained both regional and national recognition within the plumbing and HVAC industries.My current professional role includes owning and operating plumbing and heating companies, along with commercial real estate holdings, which service a wide-array of clients throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.Over the years, I have supported numerous local, regional, and national charities, as well as being a staunch supporter of higher education. In 2012, I was awarded the Mercyhurst University Donor of the Year for contributions to the Sciences, the Athletic Department, the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center, and the University in general; including establishing the Maria J Langer Film Series on campus. In 2016, I was honored to be inducted into the Mercyhurst University Athletic Hall of Fame. In 2019, I was appointed to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kitchen Cabinet in support of the annual Harvest for Hunger campaign. As part of college football's celebration of its 150th season, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selected the PSAC 150, and I was honored to be one of the 150 players, coaches, and contributors to the conference's football programs. In 2019, we established the John H. Langer and H. Jack's Plumbing & Heating Company Endowed Scholarship Fund at Lakeland Community College. I became further involved with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission as a Velocity Partner in 2020 and Board Member in 2024. In 2023, I became a Trustee with the Northern Ohio Italian American (NOIA) Foundation and a Member of the Italian American Professional Business Club (IAPBC).
