In my role as Graduate Mechanical Engineer, I design and implement Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems for large industry leading workplace and residential buildings, from concept design through to tender and on-site commissioning. I employ strong communication skills to satisfy client’s requirements and work with relevant parties such as Architects, Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveyors. I am developing a robust understanding of digital engineering tools such as Revit, AutoCAD and Excel. 9 week internship as a Mechanical Engineer working on the design, construction and testing of custom laboratory automation processes.- Project managed the development of a vial dispenser unit for GSK. Upgraded the module design, led design reviews, supervised manufacture and assembled the robot myself. Grew confident in leading a group of technicians and liaising with clients and suppliers.- Collaborated with small team to design ‘Sales CAD’ of £7,000,000 starch formulation engine - gaining teamwork, strict deadline and SolidWorks experience.- Developed ‘CoolCell’, a product to control the rate of cooling of vials of biological fluid, utilising heat conduction and geometry calculations.

• Worked for 10 weeks as a Mechanical Engineer in robotics and automation company specialising in research and development processes.• Fully designed, manufactured, installed and tested ‘faux’ radar dish for building’s exterior, designed to deter thieves. Used thermo-couples and stress analysis to design it for harsh outside conditions.• Developed redesign of loading system for a paint analysis machine, using geometry to retain stiffness in the sample.• Developed skills in CAD (SolidWorks) and design, especially design for manufacture, as most parts were made in the same building.• Gained experience in teamwork as well as work delegation, and grew confident contacting and working with clients and suppliers on the phone and in person.

Regular work experience after being partnered through the Arkwright Scholarship scheme. Projects include a redesign of the film thickness control system and designed film coating installation trolley.
