In my role as Graduate Mechanical Engineer, I design and implement Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems for large industry leading workplace and residential buildings, from concept design through to tender and on-site commissioning. I employ strong communication skills to satisfy client’s requirements and work with relevant parties such as Architects, Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveyors. I am developing a robust understanding of digital engineering tools such as Revit, AutoCAD and Excel. • Worked for 10 weeks as a Mechanical Engineer in robotics and automation company specialising in research and development processes.• Fully designed, manufactured, installed and tested ‘faux’ radar dish for building’s exterior, designed to deter thieves. Used thermo-couples and stress analysis to design it for harsh outside conditions.• Developed redesign of loading system for a paint analysis machine, using geometry to retain stiffness in the sample.• Developed skills in CAD (SolidWorks) and design, especially design for manufacture, as most parts were made in the same building.• Gained experience in teamwork as well as work delegation, and grew confident contacting and working with clients and suppliers on the phone and in person.
