I love to create memories for my customers, my team and myself... however this time I hope that I leave a memory with you and that you wish to connect! Here are four things about me and my work. Quick fire round style! Round one... Here goes...1) I sum up my life as being an adventure. That doesn’t mean I go with the scattergun approach. It means that I make my work part of my life. I enjoy what I do. Each day is an adventure if you let it be.2) I fell into the hospitality sector really because I’m that generation that saw before all of this tech boom and the aftermath of it! When I was doing IT, we didn’t have PCs for the first few years of school. I did a marketing degree at a time where social media wasn’t a thing... imagine that! So, I’ve always been stuck in the middle of the old and the new. I’ve used that to my advantage though by grasping new trends but also dabbling with old school. Something the hospitality industry really relies on. Personification of brand and customer engagement.3) I lost my mum when I was young. I mention that because I engage with people and I understand that people function on different levels of ability, emotional stress, passion and pride. As my mum couldn’t speak for the last four years of her life, I could pick up the smallest change in her and figure out what she wanted by body language and reading the situation at the time. This is something I have used in business and my “little intuitions” have yet to prove wrong!4) I don’t do business the way in which some people do business. I’m very much on the sidelines of being corporate. However, I know the time to suit-up. I know the times to roll up the sleeves, number crunch and deliver the finer details whilst getting stuck into the hard facts of business. But I also know the times when donning a dress, going on national tv to promote/sell my wares or singing/dancing to engage a team is needed too.If you have made it this far then we need to progress to round two which is where you connect with me and we can see if there is any scope for networking together in the future!
