Director Of Contracts
CurrentResponsible for the day-to-day management of government contracting and subcontracting activity, as well as proposal cost volume preparation, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other business agreements. Acting day-to-day manager of contracting and accounting departments to serve as the cross-departmental liaison for the Executive Management Team. Specific ResponsibilitiesPerform cradle-to-grave federal contracts administration with all contract types (specifically FFP, T&M, and Cost Reimbursable). Assure processes and procedures are well managed and necessary actions and reviews are accomplished to comply with all contract requirements, including all reporting requirements.Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.Identify and mitigate contract risks; seek to discover unstated needs and expectations and communicate concerns and issues clearly to the company.Monitor and track contract performance (contract schedules, deliverables and assist with funding, invoicing and payments) and proactively identify and address potential risk areas or other problems that could have an adverse impact on the company.Participate in contract negotiations, understanding the business case and having an appreciation of financial/analytical issues, profit and loss implications.Serve as the point of contact for internal leaders and customers; provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members.Review teaming, nondisclosure and other business agreements.Maintain contract compliance with company policies, Government laws, and regulations, and ensure consistency with industry best practices.Develop, review and manage financial reports used to establish rates, budgets, and cost projections.Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting and contracts departments.
