I am a trial attorney with over 28 years’ experience defending clients, particularly municipalities and other governmental entities, in matters involving construction, transportation, premises liability, and employment. My practice also encompasses toxic and environmental torts, and I have defended claims in both federal and state courts for catastrophic injuries and claims seeking compensatory and punitive damages. Matters representative of my work include:• Victorious in trial defending an insulation contractor in a death case where damages sought totaled $3.5M.• Achieved “not guilty” verdict in premises liability case where plaintiff sought $1.6M in damages.• Successfully defended several townships, obtaining court dismissals and voluntary dismissals of wrongful death, wrongful termination, and FMLA charges.In addition to my law practice, I was elected to the Board of Trustees for the Village of Glen Ellyn, and I serve as Glen Ellyn’s Administrative Hearing Officer. In this role, I serve as the judge for village code violations.
