CurrentVeriPic is a provider of enterprise-wide software that manages digital evidence for law enforcement. The company began in 1998 as one of the founding companies in this industry when the concept of Digital Evidence Management(R) was being invented. Early products focused on storing crime scene photos and documentation on local area networks. The concepts and protocols of this industry were developed and influenced greatly by the progress of this company and some of its competitors. VeriPic continued to innovate for the last 2 decades, seeing the product mature from software that was sold and ran on local area networks to adapting to modern revenue models such as the successful the SaaS model and software that runs on both the cloud and LANs to offer customers unparalleled choices in security, implementation models and deployment. Being CEO for this entire period, I oversaw the various phases including the transition from Concurrent to User License model, from sold software to SaaS, from local data storage to cloud based software. Challenges that we faced included guiding staff through changes in technology and market demands and learning to successfully compete with the introduction of a 2 billion dollar competitor into our space.The result today is that VeriPic is a healthy company that provides cloud and LAN based management of all digital evidence including Body Worn Camera video and Crime Scene photos which incorporates many innovations made over the years.Digital Evidence Management(R) is a registered Servicemark and Digital Evidence Manager(R) is a registered Trademark of VeriPic, Inc.
