For the last 18 years, I have worked as a teacher and a leader at Broward County Public Schools, where I produced strong growth and learning gains with my students and took on various leadership roles. I served as the department chair for the English department, the textbook coordinator for the entire school, the aftercare supervisor, and the ESSER coordinator. Through these roles, I developed and demonstrated skills in education, educational leadership, secondary education, project management, and equity.I am passionate about learning new methodologies and perspectives, and I have completed courses to earn my certificate in project management from Google. I have also participated in two classes on Courageous Conversations about Race, as a form of voluntary professional development. My goal is to explore new opportunities outside of public school education, where I can leverage my skills, experience, and values to create positive impact and outcomes. I am motivated by relationship building, efficiency, and momentum, and I am always seeking to improve and understand myself and those around me.
