From working with homeless youth to college students to families experiencing a traumatic death to large scale disasters my focus has been meeting people in that sacred space and being present with them. I have spent time working on the individual level of determining needs and then connecting with providers as well as at the leadership level designing and implementing the system to serve a family or a large group.Providing training and support to others working in those areas has also been an area of focus for me. I have done this through one to one conversations (debriefings) or speaking to large groups. Teaching on areas of Death Notifications, Conversations in Times of Crisis, Self Care, and Grief Support are areas of specialty. Through all of this my goal has been to follow my calling by providing a calm presence to those who need it, whether it be a small or large tragedy.
