Distinguish dangerous/environmentally hazardous goods and ensure specialised logistical plans are put in place.•Train, coach, mentor and develop staff on all operational procedures and processes.•Attend meetings with new and existing customers in Australia and overseas (Asia Pacific region) and promote business whilst securing new contracts. •Monitor, manage and coordinate all import and export operations within the business.•Create, compile and maintain weekly and monthly operational reports and ensure all business goals and plans are being achieved across the operation.•Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.•Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire and train new employees along with overseeing performance development and reviews.•Liaise closely with domestic and international Customs Officers and clearing agents.
