Architect for a 500,000+ mailbox environment. Generate complex designs and development of new and emerging services and platforms. Manage overall design projects, key principle in implementation projects.  Project Lead - Strategize and implement the migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 of 70,000 mailboxes in the North American region. Project Lead - Major consolidation of many non-compliant services to a standardized and cost effective support model. Partnered with Microsoft to audit the design of the Exchange infrastructure, and remediated the environment to meet MS best practices. Created scripts and custom reports to replace the StealthAudit application, providing a savings of over $80,000 per year. Project Lead and SME for eDiscovery implementation for over 70k users. Worked with global architecture team and storage vendor to redesign storage solution for Exchange 2010 which met best practices while providing a substantial overall performance increase. Redesigned the way in which Exchange services work with F5 load balancers to overcome resource constraints as well as application limitations to better meet the needs of the organization.

Team lead for various Managed Services accounts, which encompassed formulating RFQs, establishing requirements, determining infrastructure costs, maintaining billable hours documentation, and preparing scope, statement of work, and delivery / SLA contracts. Directed and coordinated all facets of projects, including solution design, incident and escalation management, problem, change, and patch / security administration, quality initiatives, and customer relationship maintenance.  Design, implement and migrate 30k users from Windows 2000 AD/Exchange to 2003 AD/Exchange. Windows Mobility Lead for HP Managed Services. Architected and implemented Exchange 2010 HA infrastructure. Multiple Exchange/BlackBerry migrations. Design High Availability solutions for Exchange, BES and SQL. Direction of multiple off shore technical teams in India, Slovakia, Chili and Costa Rica  Orchestrated the creation of contractual account SOW documentation and SLA agreements Calculated and delivered all labor costs to the Sales organization, as well the TMES bill of materials (BOM) for the hardware, rack space and power requirements ($1.5 million) to the Data Center. Achieved 20% cost savings for client for hardware purchases. Hired and formed a new team of engineers to build and provide ongoing 24x7 support for the new environment, while simultaneously transitioning from the legacy to new email system.  Led multiple divestitures of companies to include design, build and migration to new infrastructure and successful implementation.

Senior design engineer overseeing a team of engineers for Windows 2000/2003 corporate infrastructure and Active Directory layout for MCI’s 80,000 users, including creating standards, GPO implementations, Site design, multiple child domains, setting security standards and implementing a Disaster Recovery model.  Implement NT to 2000/2003 migration strategies utilizing third party tools. Create customized tools. Plan and implement migration strategies from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 including user and public folder migrations. Administer and maintain Exchange 5.5/2000 and NT/Novell network consisting of Compaq, HP, Dell and DEC rack mount and tower servers. Support backup servers with DAT/DLT/SDLT/LTO library units, print servers and appliances.  Design and administer corporate WINS infrastructure on NT and Windows 2000 platforms.  Write virus cures and virus discovery scripts for all of MCI.
