I've spent most of my life mentoring children and adults in the area of Earth Science Education. I am currently active with the Houston museum and lead a group of 4th and 5th graders on a paleontological field trip across Texas every year in the Spring. I've spent most of my life in various non-profit volunteer positions that occupied my time away from the office, often in a leadership position. It all began working just out of school as a Big Brother while working as a geologist exploring for oil and gas. I was a big brother to two young men, forging lifetime relationships. I started here working for Varco and continued on with NOV after they merged with National Oilwell, ending up in the Mechanical Engineering group. I had a lot of terrific experiences working here, but took on the opportunity of a new challenge that I thought was a good fit for me. I especially enjoyed all the people that I got a chance to work with during my years at NOV.
