My name is John Moos; I've lived a full life. From dropout high school student to graduating college with honors, completing medical, and training in general surgery at USC/LA County. From trauma surgery to trauma healing. I've helped shape and create several businesses from a cutting-edge healing center, a Q&A writers column, a restaurant in Venice, and one of the most prolific boutique real estate brokerage in the nation.I left my career as a trauma surgeon to develop a new approach and philosophy to healing and wholeness. Having witnessed and treated all manners of trauma, I was determined to heal it before it happened. I dedicated my life to translating my life experience into practical wisdom and knowledge. I got to work reading, studying, and exploring various approaches to healing. I supplemented my education with formal programs offered by the preeminent institutions, e.g. California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR), Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Psychedelic Research And Training Institute (PRATI), The Gottman Institute, The Hoffman Institute, and many more. Leveraging this accumulated knowledge and integrated wisdom, I opened a healing center here in West LA, Soul Surgeon by Moos MD, with the vision to create the conditions for love and light to shine.
