Worked in a small team to convert the organization's in-house control system UI from a native windows application to a browser-based application. I worked on the front-end, back-end, UI/UX requirements and design, and documentation. Reduced time to setup system notifications by over 90% - more detail below.One notable accomplishment involved a redesign of the notification system, which is responsible for notifying users about problems in their system via text, voice call, and/or email:- Worked with a key stakeholder to gather requirements for functionality and design.- Created UI sketches and wireframes that were refined based on the stakeholder's feedback.- Developed a click-dummy application showcasing key functionality and presented to team leaders for review and approval.- Created a design document that was handed off to a UI engineer for implementation, while I implemented the backend using NodeJS.The finished notification system was reliable and easy to use, and it remains in use today, We reduced the time to configure most customer's notifications by over 90% - what previously took nearly two days could be done in about 10 minutes. I was proud of what we were able to accomplish, and I was thrilled to see others enjoy using the application.

In this role I maintained existing and developed new embedded hardware used in the building automation and SCADA markets.
