CCHC provides a wide range of health, mental health and addictions services to parents and children, youth and teens, and seniors. We deliver these services through a range of in-house programs and community outreach: workshops, drops-ins, support groups, community meetings, training, outreach, counselling, and education programs. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this important Mission.

I work with CSED and their clients to enable and inspire the development, launch and growth of Social Enterprises in Ottawa. CSED provides a broad range of strategic services, ensuring that Social Enterprises have access to the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their full business potential and social impact.

Over the past 40 years I've developed strategic expertise in issues management, crisis communications, public affairs, marketing, branding and not-for-profit leadership – skills that I apply as a consultant to not-for-profit organizations focused in the areas of public and mental health, youth resiliency and community development.

Scouts Canada is one of Canada's leading youth-serving organizations. Over a 10-year period, I served on a small senior leadership team that has successfully guided Scouts through significant change and levered my marketing, communication and branding expertise to support change management, volunteer and youth engagement to reposition this 113 year-old organization as contemporary and relevant. Efforts included building effective partnerships with corporate sponsors, other not-for-profits and government departments that were aligned with Scouts Canada’s mission: To help develop well rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world.Along the way, I developed considerable expertise in issues management, crisis communications, public affairs and not-for-profit leadership – skills that I look forward to applying either as a volunteer or consultant with not-for-profit organizations focused in the areas public and mental health, youth resiliency and community development.

I spent a year consulting with national and provincial public health organizations, Crown Corporations and small businesses, developing social marketing and communications strategies, leading in-house teams through rebranding efforts, and managing audience research projects.

Led the agency's account and creative teams in developing national awareness campaigns for clients such as Public Safety Canada ('06 - '08), Canada Revenue Agency ('08/'09) and Veterans Affairs ('09). Led the agency's social marketing and advocacy portfolio, working with non-profits and associations such as the Ontario Public Health Association, Ontario Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance, Region of Peel Public Health, Assembly of First Nations, the Mental Health Commission of Canada and the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. Plus too many marketing strategy, research management and branding efforts to list here.

Among a founding team of four who launched this Web personalization and CRM service provider in March '98; Directed all corporate and product marketing, branding and lead generation efforts against sales and business development targets; Responsible for ongoing assessment of market trends, customer needs analysis, competitive product development and product marketing strategies; Directed co-marketing programs with technology and sales channel partners; managed relationships with all major industry research and market analyst firms.

Provided strategic marketing and communications services to a portfolio of technology clients including Cognos, EDS Canada, KAO Infosystems, Mitel, Newbridge Networks, Nortel, Rational/Objectime, SHL Systemhouse, Simware, Sun Microsystems and TMI Communications. Responsible for business strategy and operations of the agency, managing growth to 18 employees and $2.3MM in gross billings for 1997 fiscal. Sold Souris & Petitti in September 1996 to AXIA Multimedia of Calgary (AXX:TSX).
