John Griffith is the Executive Director, Strategy & Operations at Ballmer Group, a philanthropic organization founded by Connie and Steve Ballmer to improve economic mobility for children and families in the U.S. He leads a team that oversees the BG's day-to-day operations and helps to develop and hone the organization's grantmaking strategies. He also leads BG’s national housing portfolio.John joined BG in 2019 after working for more than a decade at the intersection of housing policy, community development finance, and impact investing. He was previously a Director at Tideline, a strategy consulting firm focused on impact investing, and the National Director for State & Local Policy at Enterprise Community Partners, a national affordable housing nonprofit. He also worked as an Economic Policy Analyst at the Center for American Progress, a D.C.-based think tank, and an Analyst at Abt Associates, a data-driven research and consulting firm.John holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Villanova University.
