Hi! I am a Chicagoland resident and a senior at Augustana College. I am graduating in May of 2024 with a BA in chemistry and a BA in biochemistry and I am looking for an entry level scientist position. I am currently interested in the fields of polymer chemistry, flavor and food chemistry, water chemistry, and sustainable chemistry but I am open to many diverse fields as I have a strong passion for laboratory work.My experience includes a summer internship with the United States Department of Agriculture in 2023 and research at Augustana College in 2022. At the USDA, I worked alongside Dr. Kevin Liu in the bio-oils research unit conducting polymer and green chemistry research. I presented my research to both USDA and Augustana College faculty. At Augustana I assisted Dr. Dell Jensen in organic chemistry research. Dr. Jensen plans to publish his findings in the Journal of Chemical Education.At Augustana I have been continually involved with the Rho Nu Delta fraternity and the Office of Student Life. I served as many positions in Rho Nu Delta, most notably as the service chairperson, vice president, and president. Throughout my time, I have directly planned three charity events with the net donations totally over $50,000. I have also served as many positions in the OSL but I currently serve as the Director of Event Logistics where I manage 20 individuals and organize event set up.
