Took on the roles of sport and design editor on production days, working to a strict deadline and ensuring online and print output was clean, accurate and engaging.Worked with data and audio and video formats (including a podcast on the 2020 Six Nations) and learnt essential aspects of media law and how to deal with local authorities. Passed my 100wpm shorthand exam and achieved all As in my NCTJ exams, earning a earning an NCTJ ‘Gold Standard’ Diploma in the process.Submitted a 10,000 word major project on the subject of sporting 'superfans', which profiled three fans from very different sports and walks of life (still awaiting grade). Presented a weekly specialist music show ('Easy Listening'/ 'Shooting the Breeze') on the station's online platform, and also worked on coverage of Freshers' Week and the Welsh Varsity in 2018 and 2019.Whilst the show was informal in nature, the role helped me to refine my presenting and editing skills, and boosted my competency in using unfamiliar software, such as Myriad, and streaming services such as Mixcloud.
