John Robitscher is the CEO of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), an organization committed to enhancing public health by preventing and managing chronic diseases. In this role, John provides strategic direction and leadership, overseeing innovative initiatives and guiding a nationwide team of professionals. He is passionate about advancing health equity, promoting social impact, and combating racism in public health, with a focus on innovative strategies to improve health outcomes. Under his leadership, NACDD has significantly increased its funding and expanded its impact. He is also the President and founder of ProVention Health Foundation, a public health foundation that is solely focused on promoting prevention and are champions of stopping disease before it starts.John has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit management and public health. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Henry W. Grady Foundation, where he led initiatives to support healthcare innovation. As a Fellow at the CDCs National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, he contributed to key research and policy developments. At the International Life Sciences Institutes Center for Health Promotion, he played a pivotal role as Chief Development Officer, enhancing health promotion programs globally. His career is marked by significant achievements, including securing over $400 million for chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs, and increasing NACDD's funding.In addition to his professional achievements, John is actively involved in various boards and organizations. He is the Past Chair of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials Affiliate Council and serves as a Board Member of the Population Health Alliance. John is also a National Trustee of Oxford College of Emory University. He is deeply committed to social justice and equity, reflected in his volunteer work and advocacy efforts.John holds a Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University.
