Esplendido Group was founded by myself in 1996 as a premium gentleman's accessories company, with a focus on Cuban, Dominican and Dutch cigars as well as Gentleman's jewellery items including cufflinks, tie bars, money clips, bracelets etc. The company rapidly became an industry leader, securing major national contracts with Myer, ALH, Fosters Group and over 1,000 independent retailers across Australia and New Zealand.As legislation restricted tobacco distribution, the jewellery division of the business expanded, and the wholesale tobacco distribution divisions were sold off to Agents. This created a strong cash flow business, allowing for West End Collection to be funded and built.Esplendido Group was the distributor of the world's leading cigars and gentleman's accessories brands, including Montecristo, Romeo y Julietta & Cohiba cuban cigars, Agio Dutch cigars, Balmoral, S.T. Dupont & Don Leo Dominican cigars, Pierre Cardin & Colibri of London gentleman's accessories and Daring Diamonds.

As Chairman of Marketing for the Heritage Country Tourism Association, our board was successful in winning a Federal Grant for a Tourism Signage Strategy aimed at giving an identity to the region, and promoting the natural and commercial attractions in the area.The Board asked me to tender for the management of this project, which I submitted and subsequently won. This led to my establishment of Innovative Marketing Solutions, a Marketing Agency. The Agency produced Tourism Brochures, managed Jazz and a Folk Festivals and rolled out the Tourism Project.Later, after wanting to diversify into product marketing, Innovative Marketing Solutions procured the rights to a software program specialising in medical, hairdressing and beauty therapy practices, which lead the industry in bringing together booking software, marketing and accounting for specific professions. The boom of this new technology remained industry leading for a very exciting 12 months before competition overtook the agency.

Pioneer Village is Western Australia's premier Tourist Attraction, showcasing the gold rush era to intrastate, interstate, domestic and international tourists. With daily theatrical performances, gold panning, theme costume and period retailers, Pioneer Village was a popular destination for individuals and groups alike.As Marketing Manager, I was responsible for increasing the revenue of all aspects of the operations of the business, increasing awareness of all activities and for the creation and management of special events held at the venue.

I worked at The Vines Resort throughout my time at University. At the same time as my studies were finishing, Araluen Country Club was nearing completion as the newest and most beautiful Golf Resort in Western Australia. I had worked with the new CEO of the development previously, who invited me to become the new Sales & Marketing Executive.During my time with Araluen Country Club, we secured a segment of the Australian PGA Tour, were included in the Big 4 tournaments and launched the international golf course and clubhouse facilities.
