At that time I was the senior field energy advisor in Utah. I was given the opportunity to continue with Tesla, but in a new position within the Technical Service department.

I was hired to clean up a failing property with 200% employee turnover and low property scores. I saw this opportunity as a chance to do some good for the property and test my management skills. Beside reducing turnover to industry standards I also Increased room nights and Rev Par, while also increasing guest satisfaction scores. An unexpected test of my management skills was overcoming a rather large property disaster. On 12/31/2014 a frozen water pipe burst at 6 am causing significant damage to about 1/4 of the hotel, my response to the emergency and its aftermath was highly recognized by the guest and Bosselman Sr Management.

I made meetings memorable, conferences comfortable, and groups glad they chose Davis County for years.While prospecting in the government, sports and business markets I personally promoted and managed city wide events and conferences that brought a total of 22,564 contracted room nights to county hotels and venues, which generated more than 7.7 million in economic impact . In 2009 I was assigned to create and run the Davis Area Film Commission by the board of directors. After becoming recognized by the Association of Film Commissioners International I was also asked to join the Utah Film Commission as a partner. During my time as the film commissioner I created budgets, marketing plans and materials and managed a staff that allowed us to support the filming of several movies and national commercials.
