China is undeniably the fastest growing winter sports market in the world between heavy snow resort infrastructure investment and the post olympic participation boom. My main responsibility was to adapt Burton’s Global training and warranty program for use in the Greater China Markets - maintaining the brands' core values yet localizing to meet China's unique market needs. ➢ HSK level 5 - Mandarin Chinese working proficiency. Deliver trainings and related projects in Mandarin.➢ Work closely with retail, wholesale, and e-com teams to continuously identify training needs and deliver impactful training courses for better results across all business functions. ➢ Design trainings to ensure staff proficiency in brand DNA, products technologies, marketing / product campaigns, VM, CRM, POS, customer service and after sales service / warranty.➢ Developed an e-learning platform and 350+ localized training videos for staff from all sales channels to learn anytime, anywhere. ➢ Execute trainings for 14 new store openings, covering all store types - Flagship, Malls, outdoor & indoor snow resorts, outlets, and pop ups.➢ Developed the new staff on-boarding training program to thorough and impactful on-boarding experiences.➢ Built framework and criteria for 'Mystery Shopper Program' to check store management, service standards, and overall strengths and weakness.➢ Work closely with the e-com team to provide detailed training support for T Mall and JD platforms during peak promotion periods in the Chinese e-com ecosystem.➢ Execute annual wholesale clinic tour, covering all of Burton China's dealer network nationwide➢ Support China 'Dealer Show' which showcases and opens discussion for next years product offerings / order processing for wholesale dealers➢ Built out a digital warranty program for China, Taiwan, Singapore, and HK. Offering best in class service with quick turnaround times on warranty claims.➢ Take all new staff snowboarding!

CRG is a multi-channel retail group that provides end-to-end market entry services and solutions for retailers and brands from US, UK, and Australia entering into China. ➢ Oversaw all China service divisions➢ Developed China market entry strategies for clients focusing on brand marketing and appropriate sales channels.➢ Managed accounts, contracts, invoicing, and payment coordination➢ Plan and implement low cost/low risk approach by customizing locally hosted websites, WeChat/Weibo social media accounts, and other mobile applications.➢ Set up cross-border and full import IOR / MOR services, warehouse management, local fulfillment, collect payment locally China followed by forex payment back to brand.

The 2016/2017 season was the first year of operations for this store location. I flew to Japan to be part of the team to set up the store and put the operating systems in place.➢ Oversaw the fit out of the new partnership store➢ Set up inventory management system, warehousing, and replenishment plan➢ Managed inbound tourists from Mandarin Chinese speaking nations and focused on subsequent sales conversion, as per Mandarin Chinese HSK level 4 proficiency.➢ Organized product training sessions for staff to learn all technical specs at the forefront of the industry➢Merchandised sales floor and arranged marketing displays on an ongoing basis➢ Placed mid-season purchase order based on stock levels and expected sales for second half of winter

This was my second time living and working in Shanghai, China. This was an amazing opportunity and a truly unique experience. Within two years I was able to restructure and transform the business model from just a skateboard retail shop into China’s leading skateboard educational program where we introduced skateboarding to over 1500 students in two years.➢ Established the first and only (at the time)indoor skate park and school in Shanghai. Setting the industry trend that is booming now 10 years later in 2023.➢ Designed, pitched, and managed skateboard programs in 13 different private schools ➢ Interviewed, hired, and trained a team of international and Chinese staff members and coaches➢ Set up, marketed, and managed events to sell memberships and classes➢ Collaborated with skate shops all over China to license our teaching programs to grow the Chinese skateboard wholesale and retail markets
