Software Engineer for the Online Transaction Processor (OTP), the back-office processing of data feeds and transaction scoring. Cartera manages customer loyalty programs for clients (banks, airlines, etc) by offering online-malls that reward members for their purchases. Responsible for design, implementation, and testing of the OPT software: PHP implementation of business logic, processing frameworks, client implementations, and MySQL queries and schema. Other responsibilities include design, implementation, and testing of the In-Store Processing Platform prototype, using components of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS/MapReduce) and Cassandra (a NoSQL distributed database management system).

Assigned to M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratories in Group 42 (Surveillance Systems). Software Engineer for the Data Analysis and Reporting Tool (DART) used on the Mode-S Monitoring project. Aviation transponders (response registers and general surveillance) data is recorded and analyzed by DART to determine validity of the data. Responsible for design, implementation, and testing of the DART software, which includes: database schema design (PostgreSQL), XML schema design, report generation using iText and jFreeChart, and nightly data analysis.

Software Engineer for AccuRev/AccuWork, a client-server based Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Issue Tracking Systems (ITS). AccuRev's SCM technology uses a stream-based architecture, designed to optimize parallel development and customizable built-in software process. Responsible for new feature design, implementation, and testing of the client-server. Other responsibilities included: Plug-ins, add-ins, and integration services for Integrated Development Environment and 3rd Party ITS applications; migrating the AccuRev Server from its proprietary database to a PostgreSQL Database using ODBC; and addressing customer support issues.

Software Engineer for Workforce Central, a web-based application that tracks/manages an employee’s time, attendance, and accruals. Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, and testing of the server-side business objects within the Employee Administration and Totalizer applications. This included an extensibility framework, auditing framework, business rule validations, SQL, database interface via the persistence layer (in-house JDBC layer), XML API, Import API, unit test framework, and performance testing. Other responsibilities included API Lead in the System Architecture Group, Merge Team Lead, and member of the Source Control, Build, and Best Practices team.

Import and export of Computer Generated Graphics (CGG) to/from the Maya Animation System, written in Java and C++ using Remote Method Invocation (RMI) and Java Native Interface (JNI).
