I am part of a team of about 70, with partners who are specialists in construction and engineering, real estate, unfair competition, insolvency and banking litigation. Initially it was a very small team, but the office in Scotland was grown under the leadership of Alastair Morrison and Vincent Connor to the powerhouse that it is now.I concentrated on Intellectual Property disputes and technology disputes, but was also involved in more general commercial litigation. With the coming into force of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, and the introduction of adjudication into the construction sector, I was fortunate enough to be able to use my qualification as a solicitor advocate to argue some of the early cases on the powers of an adjudicator.I was also instructed on larger scale disputes across Scotland and England.
