After a successful policing career, I made the decision to combine my love of and skills in policing and training and successfully gained a role as an Independent End Point Assessor for Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) Student Police Officers at Middlesex University. My main role is assessing students at the end of their degree apprenticeship which involves the marking of research projects along with assessing a presentation of their project and conducting and assessing a professional discussion with the student. I am also involved in the marking of projects and conducting of tripartite reviews for Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) students

Returning to Hertfordshire Constabulary on a voluntary basis as a Special Constable working alongside full-time police colleagues. My duties are much the same as my time as a regular Police Constable; they include, but are not limited to:Responding to and attending emergency calls from the public.Carrying out arrests or reporting individuals for offences.Preventative patrols.Conducting searches of individuals and their property.Providing initial support to victims and witnesses and assessing their need for further support.Managing conflict.Conducting enquiries.Effective decision making in high pressure situations

After a successful career in the Metropolitan Police Service, I transferred into Hertfordshire Constabulary and returned to front line duties after my time in the training team in the MPS. My main role was as a front line response police officer along with assisting new officers as a tutor constable, however, I was also an Initial Contact Officer for sexual offence victims. During my time in Herts I also became a system SPOC within my team, I successfully passed the response driving course, Field Impairment Testing (FIT) and Drug Wipe training. I had also been selected to become the forensic SPOC for my team along with gaining a place on the Methods Of Entry (MOE) course to further the skills I gained in the MPS.

I had a successful career within the Metropolitan Police Service consisting of front line response policing where I gained qualifications such as Taser, Methods Of Entry (MOE) and Level 2 Public Order.I also spent time on safer neighbourhoods which was mainly focussed around both proactively and reactively helping the local communities and partnership working. I was selected to become a street duties instructor helping develop and assess new officers after completing their initial training at the RLC. I was then successful in becoming a foundation trainer at Hendon RLC delivering the IPLDP curriculum along with assessing recruits theoretical and practical skills; it was whilst in this role that I passed the Sergeants Exam (NPPF Step 2 Exam). I then moved laterally within the training department to the training design team where I assisted with the IPLDP+ training materials to ensure they were relevant and in line with the new PEQF materials.
