Unit Assistant, Medical Intensive Care Unit
CurrentThe unit assistant (UA) provides administrative support to a designated nursing unit, maintaining time and attendance records, schedules, inventory, filing, new employee processing, assisting in data collection for project development and/or document generation. The UA is responsible for enhancing the unit environment while maintaining regulatory requirements, identifying unit issues/concerns and participating in the resolution of identified issues. The UA assists the unit management team in implementing and overseeing support tech initiatives and functions in the support tech role as directed by the Nurse Manager. The unit assistant provides administrative and clinical support to achieve the organization’s mission of excellent patient care and nursing’s vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
