For any product to be successful the Program Manager needs to know the ins and outs of what is going on today and what is needed in the future. A Program Manager needs to have a pulse on everything going on with his program for it to have any chance to be successful. Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Service – they all play a vital role in how the customer views the value of your product or service. A key component to my success as a Program Manager has been my ability to communicate across teams. While a Program Manager can’t be an expert in every area of the business, I can connect with each team to identify key metrics, areas for improvement and ensure we are working in a coordinated effort to provide a superior customer experience. Having strong organization and data analytic skills have enabled me to lead programs that have increase revenues by $200M, reduce costs by more than 10% and increase customer service scores by more than 5%. I also coach a boys’ soccer team and am constantly amazed about how much more those kids teach me about how to be a better leader than I could ever teach them about the game. I truly love to share my love of the game with the kids while sharpening my own skills. Let’s connect and share tricks that have worked, ideas that didn’t work and talk about how to tackle the issues we are facing today!
