- Oversee and establish designs and design standards for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects by creating uniform parameters, developing best practices for layout and electrical design, and reviewing projects for compliance- Create pricing consistency and competitiveness by determining best-value product offerings, standardizing job cost methodology and sales pricing, and using creative design approaches with sourcing techniques to ensure aggressive pricing from vendors and sub-contractors- Assist in overall business decisions as part of a small core team, including identifying target markets based on short-term opportunity and long-term viability, participating in quarterly and annual corporate planning meetings, and developing and standardizing tools for proposal creation, pricing, design and layout- Coordinate and execute all material procurement and purchasing- Interface with third-party structural engineers to evaluate ability of building structures to support additional dead load of solar PV arrays installed on roofs- Coordinate crews, material delivery, project schedules, and interaction with other contractors on site- Design and price PV systems for proposals, bids, and full RFP responses.

- Utilize computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and drawings- Perform routine assignments by applying basic structural and construction principles, design, and concepts - Design and detail steel structure and cladding for over 100 unique facades, skylights, free form structures, canopies, and cable walls- Coordinate with architects to determine design intent and discuss alternate solutions- Coordinate with estimating department to assure projects stay within budget- Work closely with Sales Managers to develop bid opportunities- Assist in product development and testing- Assure proposal compliance with project specifications as well as assist in developing guide specifications- Develop reporting tools to track jobs within the department, quality of service, and improve timeliness of projects- Assist with training of new employees

- Extensive use of AutoCAD and Revit to develop structural details and plan drawings for a variety of buildings- Completed assigned engineering projects- Exceeded superiors’ expectations regarding productivity and efficiency
