Next I ran the Ralph Lauren shop and oversaw another double digit increase during a complete renovation, was promoted into the buying program, and became an assistant buyer for a few years before heading back to sales and store management. Eventually I realized that my future was in sales and that to get ahead I'd need to leave a 10 year retail career behind.
