About David Johnson

I have been interested in leadership since early in high school when I served as Senior Patrol Leader for my Boy Scout Troop, and followed that up by becoming an Eagle Scout. I transferred my leadership skills to my job at Friendly's Restaurant, becoming a manager in 2007. At the beginning of 2008 I joined the Marine Corps and served as Class Leader through both Military Occupational Specialty schools, graduating as my class's Honor Graduate both times. I was awarded a Meritorious Promotion to Lance Corporal and a Certificate of Commendation for my leadership and scholastic accomplishments. After completing my active tour in the Marine Corps, I returned to college to complete my B.S. in Electronic Systems Technologies from Southern Illinois University, finishing with a 3.7 GPA.I most recently finished my M.S. in Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University, and earned a fellowship as part of the Gordon Engineering Leadership Program. I look forward to bringing the skills I've learned in the military and in school to make the world a better place!
