I’ve always been drawn to the space where technology meets human experience. Today, as an AI UX Advisor at Pulse Labs, I channel this passion into creating UX research and data capture strategies for generative AI and large language models. With over 20 years in the technology sector, my journey has been defined by a desire to blend innovation with empathy, making technology work for people in meaningful ways.At the core of my work is a fascination with storytelling and design—how narrative can elevate technology, making it both functional and engaging. In 2015, I founded Xandra, an interactive production studio specializing in conversational AI. Xandra became known for bringing new technologies to life in ways that resonated with audiences, earning accolades like an Emmy Nomination and a Cannes Lions Grand Prix in 2019.Public service has been a guiding force throughout my career. I’ve served as an Infantry team leader in the US Army, worked as a policy analyst, and acted as a strategic advisor for Australia’s newest smart city, where I helped envision a more connected, livable urban environment through technology. As Queensland’s first AI Designer in Residence, I worked to ensure that the promise of technology reached as many people as possible. More recently, I joined the UCSD Design Lab as a Designer in Residence, contributing to the Democratizing Design project as a narrative strategist.My educational journey has been equally dynamic, including executive programs at Harvard Business School and research in Cybernetics at Cranfield University, focused on how technological and human systems interact and evolve.Curiosity, creativity, and an unwavering belief in the power of technology to tell human stories and solve human problems have defined my career.
