In 2010, he achieved certification as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, introducing a strategic pivot to aviation and the beginnings of what would become C3Aero. Since founding the company, John has led C3Aero from its initial concept to an established enterprise.As a technologist, John specializes in business information systems, network infrastructure, and real-time simulation. Recently, John has focused on areas involving IPv6, hyper-converged infrastructure, and cybersecurity. He is a member of the Internet Society and the administrator of C3Aero's public IP resources.As an aircraft pilot, John has flown as an executive jet captain, airline first officer, flight instructor, and light aircraft commercial pilot. In addition to airplanes, he is rated as a commercial glider pilot and flight instructor. John started flying when he was 14 and majored in Professional Flight Technology at Purdue University.
