Hello! I’m John Clyde, a current Master’s student in Data Science at the University of Texas at Austin with my Bachelor’s in Biology. I thrive in roles that allow me to combine my analytical skills with my genuine love for helping and connecting with people.My academic and professional journeys in data science are driven by this ethos—using data and technology to make meaningful contributions and improve lives. Whether it’s conducting research on the vocal patterns of singing mice or working on a personal data visualization project to help grow my college Ultimate team, I am always looking for ways to merge technical skills with my passion for people.At the heart of my community involvement is my role as a unit lead and member for Camp Kesem, where I oversee the care and coordination for children of cancer patients. This opportunity allows me to create impactful experiences for campers and build strong, supportive relationships; while camp is only in the summer, planning and support for the campers stretch throughout the year. My commitment to fostering positive environments extends to the sports field, where I coach youth Ultimate Frisbee in the greater Austin community. Guiding young athletes not only in the sport but also in personal development and teamwork is incredibly rewarding for me.I’m eager to connect with like-minded professionals who are committed to leveraging their skills for the greater good, both in technology and community service.
